Nikki G? You go girl! (and keep going)

Poet Nikki Giovanni touched off a firestorm Saturday with a profanity-spiked diatribe against Ken Blackwell during the re-dedication of Fountain Square.
She’s not happy about the uproar and criticism she’s drawn for her remarks, in which she called Blackwell “a son of a bitch” and “a political whore.”
But she’s not apologizing, either.

So she's not happy about the uproar?? Typical liberal elitest. They want to say whatever they want because, by god, they have freedom of speech, but if anyone disagrees or take them to task for their unreasoned remarks, they get indignant. (Are you listening, Dixie Chicks/Sinead O'Conner?) Get a clue. Freedom of speech works both ways. If you say something I don't like, I have the right, nay, the obligation to point out your ignorance to you and anyone else who'll listen. There is no freedom from consequences for your actions. Freedom of speech doesn't come with freedom from responsibility. Deal with it.
